Latest on GKN is that he may come yet. He had been London since dunno when. NJie may stay or go over is still up in the air. Papers reporting that Levy shifted goal post by asking for smaller fee after agreeing the initial fee.

The club trip to Australia may have delayed the conclusion of the deal early since GKN did have his medical and passed it.

Also OM had a change of management. So the new president may have gazzump/renegade on the deal.

PAUL MITCHELL

Paul Mitchell had been confirmed by the club to be leaving. However he will stay at the club for a period of time (notice) to be mutually agreed by all parties.

– how does that work, I dunno man. But it’s good that he will stay with us till transfer window closes

Poch was disappointed with his resignation. He tried to persuade Mitch to stay however he had made up his mind to leave for personal reasons.

A reliable source says that both Paul and Levy are still working closely together. There’s no problem between them.

– Very difficult to read into the resignation. Papers are suggesting fall out because of failed MB transfer and probably GKN. Poch says that it was a personal decision to leave. Probably to take up the vacant similar position at Leicester City supposedly near where his family is. I’m sure he can be unhappy if things dun happen as he recommend but he shd know that he is paid to do identify players. Maybe head recruitment means recruit anyone he thinks we shd get.

– I was disappointed with this development. We needed a stable platform to go into the season. I’m still trying to get rid of the bitter taste of the tail end of last season. There was a timeline given as to when he arrived and the players we got. I think NJie, Wanyama and Janssen are the only ones. But I can’t fault him for this. I’m sure he identifies many and it’s the club who have to have the move to buy the players. Nevertheless we are in a good state. Yup, that’s what Poch said to the players when he met them in Oz. He didn’t get the chance to convey how he felt at the end of last season as everyone had dispersed for the summer. He lambasted them and stressed that they will work on their mental strength. He said that the pressure to win the league was too great that when it became difficult agst Chelsea, they couldn’t recover.

Poch and coaches where worried when the players came back from euros that they be affected or strained by their unfavorable showings. However to their surprise the players were eager to come back to train. It was so easy that when they were told to run, they ran. This was also supported by lloris who mentioned that everyone was looking forward to coming back to pre-season training.
